Hi, I’m Bob (a.k.a. “METALBOB”) and I love METAL – Duh! People call me “METALBOB” because I rarely wear anything other than metal t-shirts.
I also love the gym – the weights, the workouts, the training, getting bigger and stronger… I’m kind of obsessed. My training philosophy and my love of metal go hand in hand. Training, like metal, needs to be hard and heavy. It’s not for the weak of heart, and it requires dedication and commitment in order to receive the payoff.
My own quest for hugeness started in 1994 when a sweat-suited jock trainer offered me a free 2-week trial at his gym. After 5 consecutive days of torture my body was sore in places I didn’t even know muscles existed. I loved the pain and I’ve been a member of a gym ever since. Over the years and through many ups and downs in life, the gym has been my sanctuary, a place I return to and a place where I feel I belong.
Knowing that about myself, becoming a personal trainer was an obvious career choice. Not only because I love to lift for myself, but I’ve always enjoyed working out with others. Workout buddies, trainers and people at the gym… I love sharing the experience of grinding it out together with the weights. With 20+ years of personal experience and a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, I’m now seeking fresh warm bodies eager to transform into bigger, stronger versions of themselves.
